Early in March, the non-profit group Protect Democracy Project Inc. filed a lawsuit against the United States Department of Justice on the hopes to seek any records of communications between the two groups over Disney's pending acquisition of Fox. The lawsuit also sought "any related antitrust enforcement efforts by the DOJ, to find out whether the president or his administration is improperly interfering with the independence of the DOJ out of favoritism for a political ally." Donald Trump congratulated Murdoch for the Disney-Fox deal while attacking AT&T's acquisition of Time Warner, particularly over the ownership of CNN, which he frequently criticized due to alleged bias.[25]

On November 16, 2017, it was reported that Comcast (parent company of NBCUniversal), Verizon Communications, and Sony had also joined Disney in a bidding war for 21st Century Fox.[12][13] During a recent shareholders meeting, 21st Century Fox co-chairman Lachlan Murdoch stated that Fox was not a "sub-scale" company "finding it difficult to leverage their positions in new and emerging video platforms", but had "the required scale to continue to both execute on our aggressive growth strategy and deliver significant increased returns to shareholders".[14]

What to order: “I’m looking at the menu, and soup is your only bet,” is what a Panera employee told me when I asked what my best bet was for around $5. He’s not wrong. Panera’s food is overwhelmingly tasty, but it’s not a chain for penny pinchers. To maximize the amount of calories in your meal, go with the Broccoli Cheddar for $4.69, and order the baguette as a side so you can mop up the soup when you’re finished. For dessert, Panera’s bakery has delightful little coconut macaroons with chocolate for just $.99.
I'm apolitical and just don't do politics. Unfortunately however, it seems CNN, NPR, and the TV networks' news divisions have all become political advocates, instead of journalists. If I desire advocacy, I can find any number of websites that suit any political point of view. I enjoy Fox News' NEWScasts however, because they present information about the world and give me the facts, without all the advocacy from the anchor.
Passengers pay the lowest price, around 6% below the average fare, if they buy their tickets six weeks before their flight. That's the golden rule thousands of travel blogs and articles swear by. It's taken from a study by the Airlines Reporting Corporation, a company that processes ticket transactions. That study was done in 2012. 2012 was the year of Gangnam Style. Things have changed since then.

What to order: While the original chicken sandwich is great, the real winner on the menu is an order of the eight-piece nuggets, which is only $.10 more ($3.99). And because Chick-fil-A has some of the best sauces in the fast-food game, you'd be a real dummy if you didn't dip those precious nuggets into the BBQ sauce, original Chick-fil-A sauce, and Polynesian sauce. Pair 'em with the waffle potato fries for another $1.99, and you've got a solid lunch or dinner. Except for on Sundays.
"It seems like about 15 minutes ago I was spending a really dreadful day in a not-very-nice hotel suite in Baltimore waiting to see if I could get vote number — what was I looking for, 23 right?" quipped Manfred, who won the vote to succeed Bud Selig in August 2014 after beating out two other contenders. "It seems almost impossible that four years have gone by."
The thing is, a lot of these offers aren’t... great? Like, they’re not terrible—well, some of them are—but there’s really only one that’s legitimately excellent, and that one started earlier this month and goes through the end of the year. As such, we’ve made some notes. Forgive us, we’re a little cranky, and don’t think $1 french fries are anything to write home about, McDonald’s. This is a partial list, of course—there’s so much fast food, we couldn’t possibly include every chain—compiled from roundups courtesy of Treasure Coast Newspapers, Delish, and BGR. We’ve broken them into four self-explanatory categories.
