Check travel and airline websites for sales and promotional fares. This may seem obvious but I often don't bother checking websites for flight discounts because I never find ones that apply to me. They can be so specific that I don't know how anyone can cash in on the deals! But if you look for offers on travel agency and online discount websites, you're more likely to find a general "money off your purchase" sale. Our favourites are PayPal Offers because they have loads of travel deals that change regularly. But, then again, we are a little bit obsessed with buying flights with PayPal. (for good reason!) There are loads of alternative voucher websites out there though, so if PayPal isn't your thing, you can try Groupon or other voucher websites. So, the cheapest day to buy flights may just be when you find the best deal!
Rachio Smart Sprinkler Controller second-gen for $174 ($26 off): This sale makes sense, as Rachio's third-gen controller is out now, but the second-gen Rachio is still great. In fact, it's our favorite smart sprinkler to date, and $26 off is a good deal. (Here's why you need a smart sprinkler if you're still in doubt.) The $174 price is for the eight-zone model, normally $200. Amazon also has a few package deals combining the Rachio and an Echo Dot. Read the CNET review of the Rachio Smart Sprinkler.
Us and all our friends fell in love Pest and can't wait to go back there. We didn't see any drug dealers either (even in the places you'd expect in District VII) but like any city they will be there. My best mate lived in Pest for a few years until last year and he says there's much less of a drugs culture than over here. Taxis are notoriously dodgy in Budapest, like a lot of European cities. Apart from basic overcharging it's been known for people to get their change back in another currency (Indonesian notes or something equally worthless) or get ripped off in other ways. Thankfully there's no real need to use them as the public transport system is absolutely brilliant, and cheap too - buses, trams, metro and trolley bus, it's a really extensive and efficient network.. If you really must get a taxi for some reason then download Taxify and use that - it works in the same way as Uber (except you can either pay by card on your account or in cash) and you won' get ripped off. Tonnes of stuff - tripadvisor will give you more of an idea for the standard sightseeing stuff like St. Stephen's Basilica, Castle Hill etc but for family stuff we loved the Zugligeti Libego Chairlift, the Labyrinth caves, an amazing and unforgettable trip doing 360s and other stunts in a speedboat on the Danube with RedJet, Aquaworld, Margaret Island, thermal pools etc. For adults there is the House of terror, loads of amazing ruin bars and clubs, some great exhibitions, Xmas markets etc. Both the kids and adults loved the Pinball Museum - cheap to get in with absolutely loads of pinball tables and arcade games from the 50s to present day on freeplay.
You can save money by booking ahead, too. Some airlines, particularly in America, will reward you for doing your homework and will offer you an airline credit making up the difference if you call them. Otherwise, try to buy refundable tickets and if the price drops you can cancel and repurchase at the cheaper price. Find out when the best time to book your next flight is with our handy guide.

Waiting until the last minute to book your trip home for Christmas or to plan your spring break vacation is likely going to work against you. In addition to being flexible with your travel dates, avoid trying to find a last-minute flight during the most popular travel times. Flights (and not to mention, hotel rooms) will be full and there will be much less chance of a deal being found. It can also be helpful to search for last-minute flights during a destination’s low season when airlines will want to fill seats. That being said, flying on an actual holiday (versus a few days before it) can potentially save you money since the majority of travelers plan on reaching their destination prior to, say, Christmas Day.
Up to 20 percent off select Amazon Basics products: During Prime Day, shoppers were offered up to 30 percent off nearly the entire Amazon Basics line, which now comprises everything from bed sheets to flatware to office chairs. Today's offering is a tiny fraction (about 30 items), but worth taking a look if you're in the market for a new backpack, HDMI cable or other odds and ends.
Other commentators have noted that Disney is a big proponent of longer theatrical windows and could provide a bulwark for traditional theaters against the streaming services. One local theater owner stated that "I would welcome some larger players to compete against the streaming services which I think are the real companies to watch out for in the future".
Signing up for price alerts is another good way to find last minute flight deals, depending on where you’re flying from. The basic concept is that you set a price alert for a flight that you are interested in and we will email you or send you a notification via your mobile device telling you whether the price has dropped, risen, or stayed the same. You can set a price alert through the Skyscanner app or on desktop.
Check-in procedures – Every air traveller needs to check-in for their flight before travelling, and the vast majority of airlines offer online check-in 24 hours before flying to make this process as streamlined as possible. Take advantage of it, as the queues for check-in can be a real time suck. You’ll probably also be able to choose your seat if you check-in online, instead of having to take whatever is available on the day of your flight.
